A touchdown in College Station means you'll hear the boom, right?  It's been a tradition for 30 years to set off a cannon each time the Aggies score a touchdown.  But the cannon was silenced last weekend because of "safety concerns" at the new and improved Kyle Field.

It's coming back this weekend, provided that the Aggies score a TD of course.

The Aggies play Ole Miss Saturday, and the school said this week that the Cadets have been given the all-clear to set off the explosion when the Aggies score.  And the plan is to fire the cannon from the southeast tower at the stadium with each touchdown for the rest of the season.

Fans expect it, right?  That sound just goes with touchdowns at Kyle Field... provided that you can hear it over the roar of the 12th Man.
