Last Friday, Rittenhouse told Charlie Kirk he was going to A&M and it's was going to be "awesome." So, why did A&M say he wasn't?

It's almost practice time for college football teams, and the first game is only about six weeks away.  Finally!  We've all been having football withdrawals. We rarely see the day-to-day, behind the scenes work that the players put in, but we've got a glimpse of the Aggies' workout facility here.  It's been named one of the Top 10 in the country.

On the way to Houston, have you used State Highway 105?  It goes through Montgomery County and runs just west of Conroe.  After a bad accident that injured 5 Texas A&M students Sunday night, there's a renewed call to widen the road.

A touchdown in College Station means you'll hear the boom, right?  It's been a tradition for 30 years to set off a cannon each time the Aggies score a touchdown.  But the cannon was silenced last weekend because of "safety concerns" at the new and improved Kyle Field.

This is a huge weekend for football fans. It's opening weekend for the rest of the NFL (after last night's kickoff between the Packers and Seahawks), there are big college games already and it's only the second week of the season, and just cuz!  Football fans don't need huge games to sit in the recliner and enjoy a bucket of wings.  We just love football.

The Aggies' football program just got a major facelift, in the form of a new football facility. This huge $32 million renovation puts the Aggies football facilities far and away the best in the country.

It's official. Texas A&M officially notified officials of the Big 12 Conference that they will an file application to join another conference.  If accepted, the Aggies would leave the Big 12 effective June 30, 2012.  More after the jump
