Billed as the world's largest garage sale, the Hi Way 80 Sale will pass through the heart of East Texas and Northwest Louisiana this weekend with vendors selling all kinds of goods.

Beginning in the west in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite and stretching across East Texas, Louisiana and ending in Jackson, Mississippi, the Hi Way 80 Sale will encompass some 373 miles along historic U.S. Highway 80 and will feature hundreds of individuals, civic groups, churches and other organizations setting up shop along the highway selling all sorts of things.

The Hi Way 80 Sale happens twice a year, in the spring and fall. This weekend, April 12th, 13th and 14th all kinds of businesses will be opening their doors along with pop up garage sales along the route. You will most likely find something to buy at any one of these sales. From refrigerators, to crafts, to used vehicles, clothes, lawn mowers, trinkets of all kinds, furniture and a wide variety of other things, you'll find something for you even if it means making a couple of stops along the way!

Once stretching 2,400 miles across the southern part of the U.S., Highway 80 went from Savannah, GA straight through to San Diego, CA. All that remains of U.S. Highway 80 today is the portion stretching from Mesquite, TX to Savannah, GA.

The forecast for Saturday calls for some rain and thunderstorms, but it will still go on today, Saturday and Sunday!  Happy shopping and good luck finding that treasure this weekend.
