Veterans Day is coming up on Saturday, November 11 and after all of that free food military service men and women get over the weekend, they'll be looking to burn some of it off. Texas Parks & Wildlife will waive all admission fees to all Texas state park visitors on Sunday, November 12.

To be clear, Texas State Parks will be free for all day-use visitors on Sunday in honor of veterans and active military. Camping and standard activity fees still apply.

It's awesome that we appreciate our Veterans by offering free food and discounts, but I think free entrance fees for state parks is pretty 'Texas' if you ask me. A lot of people went so far as to say Veterans should have free access to all state parks all the time but for now, kids ages 12 and under will always get free entry to over 90 Texas State Parks.
