Texas Is Starting To Recover After Hurricane Beryl Quickly Ran Through The Eastern Side Of The Lone Star State.

Lots of East Texans especially along the Gulf Coastline and Houston are suffering from the effects of Beryl after it steamrolled through Texas on Monday bringing flooding and damage to some areas.

Beryl probably won't go down in the record books as one of the worst storms to come through, it still did enough damage to cause millions to be without power. But some folks have turned to a fast food app to help them figure out their "power" situation.

More than 2.2 million people throughout Texas were still without power Tuesday morning.

Texas utility CenterPoint Energy has borne the brunt of the outages, with nearly 2 million customers in the dark Monday night, according to CNN. Though the company had braced for Beryl’s impact, it said the damage was more severe than it had expected.

With that being said, those with the means to do so, logged onto Centerpoint's website to track outages only to find that the website had crashed leaving customers "in the dark" about any updates. So folks turned to social media.

If there's one thing we know in Texas, its that no matter what, WHATABURGER will be open somewhere. But if your Whataburger is CLOSED that means BIG trouble in your neck of the woods.

BBQRyan on X found out that using Whataburger's app could give you a good determination on where power outages were located at in the Houston area.

As you can see, Whataburger locations that are in "gray" means they are closed or not able to take online orders which is a good indicator that power is out in their area while the ones lit up in orange are good to go.

Once again, the orange A-Frames save the day.
