Several Texas Elks Lodge organizations are starting to recognize businesses that fly the U.S. flag as part of a new national program, and East Texas Elks could hop on board soon.

Today (June 14th) is Flag Day. Since President Truman signed an Act of Congress in 1949, Americans have taken time every June 14 to honor the symbol of freedom that our military men and women fight to protect on a daily basis.
