Back in October, Texas Monthly published their list of the top 50 BBQ joints in Texas with two East Texas pit masters on that list. Texas Monthly has now gone a bit further and listed some other favorite BBQ stops with three being in East Texas.

Every year, Texas Monthly puts on their BBQFest. This year, they are taking their BBQFest on the road with a stop in Tyler.

Three of the best small town cafes are in rural communities not far from us. You don't need to sit in the middle of a large population to have lunch or dinner all figured out.

Getting on this coveted list is not a typical feat - it's not just the cream of the crop. It's the best of the best and both Tyler and Longview are in it.

This month in Texas Monthly is their list of "The 50 Greatest Burgers in Texas" and an East Texas restaurant made the list.

As we reported last week, Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Que in Tyler won the "Best Pork Ribs in Texas" a couple of weekends ago at the Texas Monthly BBQ Festival in Austin!  Today, November 9th, Tyler Mayor Barbra Bass has officially proclaimed it "Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Que Appreciation Day" in the city of Tyler!
