As if this should surprise anyone, Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was voted the phoniest player in baseball by his fellow big-leaguers. Sports Illustrated sent out a survey to players across the MLB to determine who they thought was the phoniest player. The results weren't even close.

SI.com has the list of the 'Top 50 Highest-Earning American Athletes,' and guess what? Tiger is not at the top. In fact, it's the first time he's not been No. 1 since the list began being published in 2004!

Here's the deal: Each day, we'll post two girls and you vote on who is hotter. The girl with the most votes wins and moves on to face a different girl the next day. If a girl wins five days in a row, she'll be inducted into the Smokin' Showdown Hall of Fame. Voting ends at midnight.

Today, Sports Illustrated unveiled the cover of its 38th-annual Swimsuit Issue.  Since the first Swimsuit Edition in 1964, 21 American models have graced the cover of the prestigious issue, including five of the last six covers -- more after the jump.
