Rushing around like a maniac leads to feeling frazzled all day. Our moods aren't as good, our work isn't as good...and even food isn't as good. Slow down.
Perhaps part of it was realizing that whenever I walked outside, the chance that I would be confronted by a hungry zombie mob was generally a small one.
I finally just flung on my walking shoes, grabbed my ear buds, and out the door I went. It took about seven minutes before I started to feel my mood lighten.
One of the best ways to avoid getting stuck in our thoughts is to get out into the physical world. Call a friend. Have coffee with your brother. Go to the gym.
