Super Bowl Halftime Shows
The Black Eyed Peas are set to perform at Super Bowl XLV this Sunday. That really does not impress me at all. However, the Associated Press is reporting that a legendary guitarist will perform as well. Find out who after the jump.
Slash is rumored to be the surprise performer at Super Bowl XLV. I hope this is true, because I am going to be pissed if i watch the halftime show and all I see are the stupid Black Eyed Peas.
So, that got me thinking about past Super Bowl halftime shows. Usually, I don’t watch the halftime show because normally the scheduled performances don’t intrigue me enough to watch them. In fact, I can count on one hand how many times I have watched the halftime show and I’ve watched the Super Bowl every year for as long as I can remember.
Of the halftime shows I have watched, the one that I think I liked the most, is Super Bowl XXXI where ZZ Top and The Blues Brothers performed.
There have been a few more as well. Aerosmith playing Super Bowl XXXV was pretty cool. Last year’s halftime show with The Who was good too.
Of course, who could ever forget Super Bowl XXXVIII where a “wardrobe malfunction” on Janet Jackson will forever be etched in our minds.
Anyway, so what is your favorite Super Bowl halftime show? Leave a comment here and let us know.
By the way, since there are no cheerleaders for the Steelers or Packers, I thought I would add a video of some NFL cheerleaders in slow motion just for kicks.
