Southwest Airlines to Give Bonuses to Employees
Southwest Airlines has reputation for taking care of its employees and customers, and Monday they will do it again.
With a large chunk of money coming their way thanks to new tax legislation, Southwest Airlines will be forking over $1,000 to all full and part time employees. CEO Gary Kelly said in a video released on Southwest's Facebook Page,
"One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is take care of our employees, so I can't think of a better way to kick off the new year."
He goes on to state how important community is to Southwest as well, and they they have set aside $5 Million to donate to charitable causes throughout 2018.
“Southwest Airlines has long been an example in corporate America of a company that puts people first by taking care of our employees, our customers, our shareholders and our communities,” Kelly also said in the video. “Today’s news is a wonderful example of that leadership and commitment.”
