Let’s Look at the Biggest Snowfalls in Texas History
We all know that the weather in Texas can be extreme at times. Obviously, most people think about the extreme heat that Texas can deal with in the summer months. And yes, that can be intense at times, but you learn to deal with it. But the heat is not the only extreme weather you need to be prepared for in Texas
It’s not abnormal to have a storm roll through Texas with extreme winds that will blow shingles off roofs or take a trampoline and put it into a neighbor’s back yard. But, while it’s not discussed as much, we still get snow in Texas sometimes.
How Much Snow Falls in Texas?
Not as much as you would see in other Northern states, but it causes quite the problem when we see snow in Texas because most people aren’t used to driving around in the white stuff. It’s important to know what to do in the snow, but most times it’s just best to stay home and let the snow melt before attempting to leave the house.
Don’t Have the Same Resources
Because it doesn’t snow as much in Texas, we don’t have all the trucks to lay down salt to melt the ice like in other states. But we manage to get through whatever weather mother nature likes to throw our way here in Texas.
