When it comes to adopting a puppy or dog a lot of people are looking for one with a lot of energy and personality. The Humane Society's Pet Fur People in Tyler, Texas has just the pup for that person or family that is looking for a dog that fits those characteristics.

Meet Simon. Simon is a German Shepherd/mix dog who loves to run and play. Simon is a little more than a year-and-a-half old and weighs about fifty pounds. Pets Fur People's executive director Gayle Helms believes Simon would be best suited for an active family. He would enjoy going on daily jogs around the neighborhood as well as road trips to some campsites.

Simon doesn't mind the company of other dogs either, in fact, he thrives on the interaction. Simon is youthful and full of energy and would need a good-sized backyard to run and play in.

Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas.
