Friday night in Lindale was rocking with the Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band, Red Not Chili Peppers, at Brisket Love on 849. The band was so great, and I was getting into every song so much that I took a grand total of three pictures. I had hoped to have a full gallery for you but I was having too much fun.

So yeah, Brisket Love on 849 in Lindale was the scene Friday night for the Red Not Chili Peppers. These guys have been called the number one Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band. They have been together for over a decade giving fans the closest experience to the real band. They proved it Friday night.

The hits were there, Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik, Californication, Soul To Squeeze. The night really got ramped up when the Red Not Chili Peppers kicked into Dani, California. A great song with a trippy video. It's a shame that with all the quick cuts to different rock music eras in the video, the band couldn't actually do it on stage. That would have been a real trip.

The Red Not Chili Peppers really nailed every song. My all time favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song is "Outside". I was so excited to hear those first couple of notes. It turned into a huge sing along with every audience member. So great. After that, they left the stage. Everyone yelled for an encore which they obliged.

They opened their encore with "Under The Bridge" and the audience sing along continued. To close out the show, "Give It Away." I thought the roof of the Brisket Love Hackberry Hall was going to collapse.

As far as the band members, each one had the mannerisms, look and personality of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and current lead guitarist, John Frusciante down pat. It was a great time Friday night and I highly recommend following the Red Not Chili Peppers on Facebook or Twitter and if they come close to us again, go see them. You will have a blast.
