Red Cross Handing Out Flood Clean Up Supplies To Kilgore, Longview, Henderson Residents
Much of the flood waters in Kilgore, Henderson and Longview's residential areas have receded leaving behind a wet and muddy disaster in homes throughout the cities. The clean up effort is already underway and with dryer weather on the horizon, it'll kick into high gear this weekend.
Starting this morning (Friday, March 11th), residents affected by the floods in Kilgore, Henderson or Longview may receive cleaning supplies from the Red Cross. The organization will be traveling to the affected areas and handing out items like mops and buckets, trash bags, gloves and bleach cleaning kits to residents to assist them with clean up efforts. These items may also be requested by calling their Longview office at (903) 753-2091.
The Red Cross of Longview says they will have a distribution point set up so that residents may stop by and pick up supplies. They expect the center to be open Saturday, March 12th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chandler Church of Christ at 2700 Chandler Street in Kilgore.
