If you are like me, you are still in a state of shock today after the roller coaster ride that was game 6 of the 2011 World Series.  Last night was supposed to be the night.  Rangers fans across the state were ready for it.  The Rangers were up three games to two and after having to wait a whole extra day for game 6 to be played, because of rain in St. Louis on Wednesday, it was time - OUR TIME!  More after the jump.

One of my friends of Facebook said it best:

I am a stressed-out mess and I hardly ever watch baseball....I really can't imagine how you die-hard Ranger fans must be feeling:)

Even those people who normally don't watch baseball were watching last night! Like I said, it was supposed to be our night!  This World Series has reportedly been one of the lowest rated series in a long time, but boy have you been missing some great baseball if you haven't been watching.

If you missed it last night, then you didn't see  the combined five errors made by the teams.  You also didn't see the Rangers come within one strike of winning the series in both the 9th and 10th innings!  You also didn't see Josh Hamilton's apparent game winning home run in the 10th inning despite barely being able to walk.  You also didn't see Mike Napoli continue to play after he nearly broke his ankle sliding in to second base.  You also missed the gam winning home run by the Cardinal's David Freese in the bottom of the 11th inning.  Other than that, nothing interesting happened, but you better not miss tonight's game!

There has not been a game seven in the World Series in nine years. Matt Harrison will be pitching for the Rangers and Chris Carpenter will be on the mound for St. Louis.  This should be another good game.  The Rangers are playing for their first ever World Series title in the fifty year existence of the team.  The Cardinals are playing for a title that no one thought they would be playing for, being 10 1/2 games back in the National League Wild Card race in late August!

One problem with game 7 being tonight is Friday night football!  Which do you choose?  High school football or the chance to see the Texas Rangers make history?

Sit back and buckle your seat belt!  This could be a bumpy ride!  Hopefully the Rangers will come out on top!
