The Hallmark Channel's first-ever "Christmas Con" is happening next month in New Jersey, with stars from Hallmark movies, Christmas decorating ideas, and an ugly sweater contest.  Yes!  How can we bring this seasonal slam dunk to East Texas?

Gaming conventions and Comic Cons are usually huge successes, so why wouldn't huge crowds flock to a spot that has Christmas cosplay?  Don't roll your eyes, guys, come on.  You'll get major points with your wife if you get into it.  We could dress in fuzzy scarves and light-up ugly sweaters, and carry mugs of hot chocolate through rows of unicorn Christmas trees and talking Santas.  It's a dream weekend.

The Hallmark Channel's first-ever "Christmas Con" is happening at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison Nov. 8 through 10, and people who attend will have the chance to meet some of the Hallmark Channel's stars like Jackée Harry, Jack Wagner, and Holly Robinson Peete while they hunt for holiday gifts, handmade decorations and festive Holiday treats.

Why can't we do this in East Texas?  Christmas geeks like me would turn out in droves!  The New Jersey convention is sold out, so we will have to create our own event if we want to experience this bit of magic this holiday season.  If not now, then next year.  It will be THE holiday event of 2020, with or without the Hallmark stars.  We just need a few Texas-themed Christmas trees, some peppermint pralines, and some spiked egg nog.  This could be good.
