New Walmart Buggies are Causing Some Texans a Lot of Grief
(Longview, Texas) - There is a love/hate relationship with Walmart in Texas. Personally, I like to go to Walmart. It's a nice one-stop-shop for just about anything. If you need to restock the fridge, boom, Walmart. If you need a new socket wrench, boom, Walmart. A new shirt, new vacuum, new tires, boom, Walmart.
Others in Texas, though, think Walmart is a thorn in their side. They don't like the crowds, the self-checkout lanes and/or all the products that are made in China. Those who dislike Walmart are about to gain a little bit more dislike for the chain with the introduction of new shopping buggies.
New Walmart Buggies are Causing Some Texans a Lot of Grief
Walmart is rolling out some new buggies, carts, baskets, whatever you call them, to their stores. These new carriers of stuff come in at 43.3 inches tall compared to the old height of 39.75 inches. They also come with a new holder for your phone to keep track of your shopping list and a cup holder for your Stanley cup.

Some shoppers are not as happy, however. I stand at 6 feet 1 inch. My fiancé stands about 5 feet 9 inches. For either of us these new buggies will not be an issue. For those that were not blessed by the growth gods, these new apparatuses will be a bit of an issue, especially if they have their child with them.

It is certainly a first world problem, for sure, but some are really not happy about the height of the new buggies.

Buggies. Carts. Baskets. What Do You Call Them?
This brings up another conversation, what do you call the shopping helpers? A cart? A buggy? A basket? I switch between cart and buggy. I have heard them referred to as a basket. To me, that sounds weird. Cart or buggy is more acceptable in my personal opinion.
Whatever you call them, what do you think of Walmart's new shopping carts? Let the first world problem arguing begin.
