Meet May, the Cat We All Love in Tyler, Texas

Here in East Texas we have lots of pet owners that treat their animals like family members. Sure, we all know that pet overpopulation is a problem that hits all of Texas hard, but there are lots of great pet owners here too. But have you had the chance to meet the most loved cat walking around Tyler, Texas? Her name is May and she is a sweetheart. 

I honestly can’t remember the first time I met May, I know I had parked my vehicle off Old Jacksonville Hwy in Tyler to walk along Legacy Trail. It was about a quarter mile into the walk that I notice a cat on the trail. My wife (Savannah) loves all animals so we stopped so she could pet May.  

May is Not Homeless, Don’t Worry 

While May makes new friends each day as she keeps an eye on the trail, you will also notice that May has multiple collars, I’m pretty sure one or possibly both have a GPS tracker. It’s clear that May’s family loves and cares for her often. I just love going out to get some exercise and stopping for a second to pet May.

May is Not the Only Celebrity Cat in East Texas 

While May is very loved by most people who visit Legacy Trail in Tyler. There are also other big-time cats in East Texas like City Kitty in Hallsville.  

Just remember that if you’re going for a walk on Legacy Trail, make sure you take a quick minute to stop and say hi to the most loved kitty in Tyler, May.
