When you hear us play commercials warning you of the consequences of drinking driving, it probably goes through one ear and out the other because most often, these PSA's only remind you of the risk of going to jail. But the REAL serious consequence of drinking and driving is the innocent lives destroyed by these folks negligence.

37-Year Old Daniel Canada Was Visiting Houston From Longview on March 14, 2021

Canada was driving about 100 mph on FM 2920 when he crashed into a car that was being driven by Porsha Branch. The 28-year-old mother and her three sons, 7-month-old Drake, 2-year-old Messiah and 5-year-old King, were instantly killed when their car burst into flames in the 7 car pileup Canada caused.

Canada's blood alcohol level was 0.15, nearly twice the legal limit.

A blood test also revealed he had Xanax and marijuana in his system. Canada survived the crash with minor injuries. Canada was arrested and charged with 4 counts of intoxication manslaughter.

The trial lasted three weeks with Canada being convicted on all charges.

He was sentenced to 4 life sentences by state District Judge Colleen Gaido on Monday after he was convicted last week of four counts of intoxication manslaughter. The life sentences will run concurrently.
