Locally Trinity Mother Francis is working with the area high schools to help raise awareness about Breast Cancer. Schools are asking their alumni to wear a pink tshirt to Friday night football games hoping the stands on both sides of the field will be "pinked out." In Lindale, where I am the PA announcer for the games, we are going to "pink out" on October 21st when Lindale plays Van. Details on how to show your support for this movement after the jump.

Normally Eagle Stadium in Lindale is transformed in to a sea of blue on Friday nights, or what's know as "Blue Out."  The game on Friday, Oct. 21st will be a different flavor, or color if you will.  Lindale High has teamed up with Trinity Mother Francis Ross Breast Center for a "Pink Out" on that day.  The Lindale High National Honor Society is selling special "Pink Out" t-shirts for the occasion for just $10.  The proceeds from t-shirt sales will go towards the continuance of breast cancer awareness and education.

In addition to fans wearing pink in the stands, the players and cheerleaders will show their support by wearing pink shoelaces.  Lindale coaches have been asked to wear the pink shirts over their team shirts during the game.  Fans, players, and coaches from Van are also invited and encouraged to participate!

If you would like to support this movement you need to go to either Lindale or Van's high school and order your shirt!  The school office has the shirts for sale. The last day to order these tshirts is Friday is October 7th!
