Lego Just Unveiled Its Largest Set Ever, 11,695 Pieces of Pure Lego Magic
Lego's newest set is not for the impatient, with over 11,000 pieces.
I'll be the first to admit that I am way too impatient to complete a puzzle. Even the 100 piece puzzles frustrate me beyond belief. It's been that way with me since I was a kid, so Legos were never a thing in my household.
I never got in to doing models either, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it when I see the finished product. I've had friends that would rather spend a Saturday night working puzzles and models with their families than go out and catch a movie.
About six months ago Lego, released what, at the time, would be it's largest set ever, The Colosseum. It had 9,036 piece total. Apparently that wasn't enough, as they have topped that with the upcoming release of a Lego World Map Set with a total of 11,695 pieces of pure Lego magic.
This new Lego masterpiece is 25 1/2 inches high and 40 1/2 inched wide and divided into three sections. You can even alter the oceans if you like. Once completed, it'll look like great as artwork you can hang on a wall.
According to the article from FOX44 News, the complete set will run you $299.99 and will be available to order starting June 1st at Lego.com.
Lego isn't just for kids, it's also for adults. Creative Lead for LEGO Art, Fiorella Groves, says, “We know that our adult fans love to travel, but many haven’t been able to do so for over a year now. We thought that there was no better way of helping explore the world while relaxing in the comfort of their home than by allowing them to build, rebuild, plan and reminisce through building. We hope the LEGO Art World Map will inspire new adventures in some, and help others relive and celebrate wonderful travel memories from the past.”
A very cool addition to the Lego set is an accompanying soundtrack that features stories form several travel experts like, Syazwani Baumgartner, Torbjørn C. Pedersen, Dane & Stacey, Ernest White II, and Fiorella Groves herself.
Puzzels aren't my thing but if enjoy the challenge. This one should be pretty good
Best of luck!
