I'll be honest, I would love to be a storm spotter. Any time we have severe weather move into the area, I'm outside looking up. Weather is fascinating to me. I guess while we're locked down, now would be a good time to learn how I could be a storm spotter.

The National Weather Service out of Shreveport is offering classes to learn how to recognize severe weather and how to report it to the National Weather Service according to easttexasmatters.com.

The first class is tonight (April 7) at 7 p.m. on the Shreveport National Weather Service's Facebook page. This class will show you how to identify severe weather.

The second class is next Tuesday, April 14 at 10 a.m. This class will offer the same lesson as the April 7 class but also how to become an official Skywarn storm spotter. This class you will have to register for at register.gotowebinar.com.

Might as well learn something while we're all inside.
