Killswitch Engage are kicking off their 'Disarm the Descent' tour tomorrow (May 30) at the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City, Okla., and they intend to do something for those affected by the recent tornados that ravaged the state. The group has announced that they are donating a portion of proceeds from the night's ticket sales to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Their support doesn't end there as the band is also encouraging their fans to get involved as well. The band is designing a special Killswitch Engage t-shirt where 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Stay tuned to their website and social networking sites for additional details about the t-shirts. Those wishing to make donations to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma may do so here.

Meanwhile, in other Killswitch Engage news, frontman Jesse Leach has penned a guest column for Gun Shy Assassin in which he uses the forum to address fear and meeting life's struggles head on.

In the piece, Leach states, "I firmly believe everything we go through, all of our struggle and suffering, has a reason -- a lesson, if you will. It is difficult when you are currently in a tough spot to see outside of your situation and reflect. Often times, when we push through and persevere, we have clarity and perspective. I find that perspective is so important and very necessary for personal growth."
