Sometimes, an eatery has a special type of food that is only available at the area. Sometimes, it might only be a statewide item. It could be a certain burger or perhaps a sweet treat.

One of the restaurants we'll be talking about is none other than Dairy Queen. While the eatery didn't start in the Lone Star State, it still has a special food only available here. But, what could it be?

So what could be the item that is only available in Texas DQ's? Well, per Mashed, it's a food that basically has it's own day on Tuesday: Tacos. Yes, Dairy Queens in Texas have the honor of serving Tacos in Texas, and only in Texas.

But how did the company get this exclusive ability? Austin Monthly revealed that legally, franchise owners had the chance to customize their menus to their heart's content thanks to certain legal things. So how about that?

For example, Mashed provided the example of Tyler, Texas having items like nachos on the menu to select. There's even other items that the eatery offers in Texas! So you may never know what you can get in a Texas DQ!
