(KNUE-FM) While we’ve all heard about long airport lines, recent videos from Texas airports tell a different story. Most TikTok videos showed travelers not waiting long at the most popular airport in Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

I’ll admit that I was curious because I do have a trip coming up next week and I wanted to know if I really needed to arrive at the DFW airport three hours before my flight because of the long TSA lines?

Are TSA Lines Really Long at DFW Airport?

But after looking on TikTok it seemed like many passengers were expecting longer lines than they actually faced once they arrived at the airport. Which is a fantastic thing.

What Travelers Are Sharing on TikTok

Now obviously, if you have a trip coming up I wouldn’t push your luck. Just because a few people online didn’t have to wait in line, that doesn’t mean you should show up minutes before your flight and expect to walk straight through but also don’t panic if you’re not there multiple hours before your flight takes off.

TSA Agents Keeping Lines Moving

One of the best things I saw about all the videos online was how appreciative most passengers were that TSA agents were showing up and working swiftly to get passengers through the security checkpoints.

Ultimately, the decision is yours on how early you want to arrive to make sure you don’t miss your flight. But don’t let certain outlets scare you into thinking that you need to camp out at an airport just to make sure you don’t miss your flight.

If you have traveled lately, I would love to know about your experience with delays. Send me an email, billy.jenkins@townsquaremedia.com.
