Warning to Texas Pet Owners: Hazardous Dog Treats Being Recalled

Make sure the treat your dog is receiving isn't associated with a recent recall before giving it to them.

TDBBS LLC is voluntarily recalling more than 3,500 packages of Green Tripe dog treats because of a possible metal contamination, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

As to the firm notification on the FDA website, the recalled product was shipped between February and May 2024 and affects 3,551 bags. The bags were offered for sale in retail establishments in New Jersey as well as other states. Also, the bags may be purchased online.

The Green Tripe Barkworthies Brand, 7 oz bag with a Feb–March 2026 best buy date; the Green Tripe Best Bully Sticks Brand, 2 lb. bag with a March–Aug 2026 best buy date; and the Green Tripe, Best Bully Sticks Brand, 5 lb. bag with a Jan–April 2026 best buy date are among the potentially contaminated dog treats, according to the company's announcement.

The firm states that although there haven't been any complaints of pet illnesses or injuries, there's a chance that these treats include metal items, which might be harmful to your dog's health.

If their dogs ate the goodie, owners are advising them to keep an eye out for any symptoms of sickness and strange behavior. Next, give a veterinarian a call.
