In my personal opinion, sitting in grandpa's chair would be a big no-no.

I can't speak from personal experience. My grandpa passed away when I was two.

But what I can vouch for is my dad's spot on the couch. I couldn't, and to this day, still can't sit in his spot. He has no problem telling me to move.

Dad does have his remote sitting on the lamp table beside him. He's gotta have his ottoman, too. I try to sneak that to where I'm sitting on the couch. Yeah, that doesn't work out, either.

But what do you think? Was the ruling correct? Were you always disappointed there were no cookies in the tin?
