A Pair Of Robbers In Texarkana Were Taken Down Thanks To Some Comfortable Footwear.

While I don't personally own a pair of Crocs, my wife and sons them and yes I know they're so very comfortable that lots of folks have given up on wearing conventional shoes ever again and wear them everywhere.

When I mean "everywhere" I do mean everywhere, even when one is committing felony level crimes as evidenced by this story shared by the Texarkana Police Department on social media.

Police Received A Call About A Robbery On March 27th In Texarkana.

At About 10:00 pm last Wednesday night, police received a 911 call of a robbery that had just happened at a convenience store in the 2700 block of South Lake Drive.

The clerk reported that two young men came into the store with their guns pointed at him and, after threatening to shoot him, demanded all the money. They stuffed the cash into a backpack and ran out of the store headed toward Sunset Apartments.

After searching the area, police could not find the suspects.

"They both were wearing face masks to try to hide their identity but also had on some VERY unique clothing items."

One of them was wearing red slides, and the other had on a mismatched pair of Croc type shoes (one was white and the other one was black).

Unfortunately for them, they were wearing the exact same shoes when Texarkana Police Sgt. D.E. Evans stopped them just blocks away from there a couple nights before. When he heard the description of the robbers, he immediately knew who they were and where they lived.

Detectives Compared Surveillance Footage From The Store Robbery To Sgt. Evans Body cam footage.

Detectives went to a apartment and arrested both 20 year old Ladarrion Brown and a 15 year old juvenile there. The detectives then found the backpack with two authentic looking BB guns and masks inside it, bundles of money, and the colorful crocs in the apartment.

Brown was booked into the Bi-State Jail for Aggravated Robbery while the juvenile was taken to JDC and processed there. In addition to the warrant for this robbery, he also had an outstanding warrant for Assault related to a separate case.

While they may have on comfortable shoes for the robbery, their stay in the pokey won't be as comfy.
