7 Rapidly Growing Mexican Restaurants That Started in Texas

If there is one thing you'll find a lot of in Texas, it's food! It seems we love to eat in the Lone Star State -- especially Mexican food.

In fact, I would say Texas is home to some of the best Mexican food, although I'm sure other states will try to attest. But I mean, we even have our own variety widely known as Tex-Mex, along with authentic Mexican food.

I would argue that Texas may even have some of the most widely-known Mexican restaurants in the state. It's right here that I'll admit I could be biased considering I hear about the restaurants here frequently, but I still think it's true!

In fact, a recent story by Mashed shows that MANY Texas Mexican restaurants are some of the fastest expanding in America.

How many Texas Mexican restaurants are quickly growing?

The list compiled by Mashed mentions 12 "Mexican Chains Restaurants You're About to See Everywhere." Of those listed, seven were created in Texas. More than half the list!

So judging by this, I think it'd be hard to argue that Texas doesn't have some really good Mexican food.

What do you think of the places on this list?

I 100% can see why some of these locations are rapidly growing! Like Torchy's Tacos, I can't deny loving them. The queso there has my heart. And the fried avocado taco. Yum! I also know that a lot of people rave about Chuy's, so I'm not surprised there.

Otherwise, I haven't visited many of the other locations -- or not enough to form an opinion, anyway.
