It doesn't matter if you live in Dallas, Amarillo, El Paso, Nacogdoches, Houston or Longview, Texas there are laws that all Texans must live by and if you break those laws you could be facing some serious consequences.

Last week law enforcement officers throughout Gregg County were busy enforcing those laws. Officers from the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, Longview Police, Kilgore Police, White Oak Police, and other agencies arrested quite a few individuals who broke the law and they ended up spending time in jail.

The choices these individuals made had them spending some time behind bars and having a bad day.  Because of these bad choices, they're now facing some serious charges. The information provided by the Gregg County Sheriff's Office shows the following people were arrested and booked into jail and now face at least one felony charge. Anyone featured below remains innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law.

The felony charges that some of these people face are:

  • DWI 3rd
  • possession of a controlled substance
  • aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
  • sexual assault of a child
  • assault of family member impeding breath

A couple of individuals are being held on INS detainers or a US Marshal detainer.

Drinking and driving is still high on the list of arrests.

DWI (driving while intoxicated) and DWI 2nd offenses are considered misdemeanor offenses in Texas and because of that, they are not featured below.  DWI 3rd or more is raised to the felony level and while there may be just a few with DWI 3rd in this photo gallery, there were a lot more who were arrested in Gregg County for DWI and DWI 2nd.

Anytime someone goes out for a drink they should NEVER get behind the wheel of a car and drive. This person is putting their life and countless others in jeopardy when they drive intoxicated.
