The Highly Anticipated Central Texas Theme Park Is Getting A Financial Boost.

The Circuit of the Americas is a racing track home to Formula One's United States Grand Prix, NASCAR's Texas Grand Prix and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas.

Not only is the track home to big time races, its also open year round for other fun motorsports action like karting, bike nights and The COTA Driving Experience where you can drive around the track in super expensive cars.

Back in 2023, plans for a new theme park called COTALAND, a one-of-a-kind 20-acre park that would sit on turns 19 and 20 of the world renowned race track. The highly anticipated park has slowly been coming together over the last few years.

We're now learning that the dream is getting closer to reality in East Austin as the park recently some major funding to get it up and running soon.

The park will reportedly have more than 30 rides, including the first tilt coaster (Circuit Breaker) and Gertslauer Infinity Coaster (Palindrome) of its kind in the U.S., as well as the Sky Blazer, a pendulum swing rider that'll be the first of its kind in Texas, and the Texas Wildcat.

After aiming to raise $65 million earlier this year, COTALand has submitted seven $15 million filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, revealing $105 million worth of developments headed to the amusement park.

Also included in the filings were plans for a loading dock and admin office, restaurants and retail space, stage, retail and a bar, dining hall, and amusement park attractions.

The projects are expected to break ground on January 1, 2025 with an estimated completion date of December 31, 2025. There's still no date on when COTALAND will officially open its doors to the public but we'll be sure to keep you posted!
