A Tyler church is hosting a free walk-up COVID-19 clinic today, and you don't have to have symptoms to be tested.

St. Peter Claver Catholic Church will host the COVID-19 testing clinic on June 30, July 1, and July 2.

It's a walk-up clinic so you don't have to make an appointment, and you don't have to have symptoms to be tested.  You'll have to give them a phone number because the test results will come by phone or text, according to the City of Tyler.

St. Peter Claver Catholic Church is located at 615 West Cochran Street in Tyler, and the clinic hours are 9 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Thursday this week.

The Texas Department of Emergency Management and the Texas Department of State Health Services are providing the tests free of charge.

And, on a separate note, here's another good resource.  The Northeast Texas Public Health District teamed up with the local government, hospital systems, and colleges to set up an additional call center to help with pre-screening if you don't have a primary care physician. If you have COVID-19 symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, cough, or shortness of breath, call (903) 617-6404 to speak with a representative who will make referrals to physicians.

Be well!
