People Seem to Avoid the “Four Corners” in Tyler, Texas
Living in Texas is fantastic, having lived in other states, I love calling Texas home. Sure, there can be extreme temperatures at times but that can happen in many states across the country. Additionally, there is crime that takes place in every state and that includes here in the Lone Star State. While I have never felt unsafe, there is one area in Tyler, Texas that people tend to avoid if possible.
In years past there has been one area in particular that is a hot spot for crime in East Texas and Tyler specifically, that area is known as the “four corners”. It’s the intersection where I-69 and Loop 323 meet.
What is Bad About the “Four Corners” in Tyler?
Tyler police have known for years that hotels in that area are known for drug activity, prostitution, and other crimes which is why they have made it a priority to monitor that area even more. Although once an area is known for that activity it’s difficult for citizens to get that out of their head.
Be Careful, Not Scared When in Tyler
The work that our Tyler Police Department have done in recent years to clean up some of the crime activity in that area needs to be applauded. Just remember if you’re around the “four corners” you don’t need to worry about your safety, it’s more about being aware of your surroundings. I truly think that Tyler, Texas is a safe city for anyone to visit or call home but just be careful and keep an eye on things around you.
