Fire at TJC’s Wise Auditorium

If you were around TJC early this afternoon and noticed all to commotion, you probably wondered what the deal was with all the fire trucks.  The Tyler Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire earlier today at TJC's Wise Auditorium.  According to officials, crews working outside the building struck an electrical line with a backhoe causing a fire in the basement of the auditorium.  Several areas of the building filled with smoke, but no students or other staff were injured.
