Sportscaster Erin Andrews Finds New Home on FOX
Sports fans, in particular fans of nationally renowned (and occasionally peeped on) sportscaster Erin Andrews were likely dismayed last week to learn that their favorite blonde would no longer call ESPN home, but instead would seek employment elsewhere. A week later, there’s been little apart from speculation, but where will Andrews next take up a permanent position?
According to Deadline, sportscaster Erin Andrews has officially found a new home, and it looks a lot like her old one. Having departed ESPN last week as one of the hosts of ‘College Gameday,’ Andrews will next take up with FOX, hosting the network’s new primetime college football pregame show, as well as maintaining a significant role in National Football League, Major League Baseball and other sports coverage.
If the idea of Erin Andrews on Fox feels familiar, it certainly should. Andrews got her start at Fox Sports Florida in 2000, before spending the next eight years as a part of the ESPN family. Fox Sports’ new half-hour pregame show will lead into the network’s first regular-season over-the-air college football package, which will begin Saturday, September 1 when Hawaii visits USC live from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
What say you? Will you miss Erin Andrews on ESPN’s ‘College Gameday,’ or is FOX Sports the best place for her? When do you think we’ll be able to peep some of her coverage? Sound off in the comments below!
