Several games have been canceled through the first three weeks of the high school football season, but this week's schedule is less interrupted.  So far, only one game has been called off, and dozens are on! Tyler Legacy will kick off Week 4 tonight (Thursday) at Rose Stadium.

Carthage and Gilmer have a huge game coming up next Friday, September 24th, and with both teams in the Top 25, that will have an impact on state rankings.

At last check, Carthage was ranked #1 in 4A-Division 2, and Gilmer was #2.  Carthage is idle this week and Gilmer plays at Lindale, and then on September 24th, the Gilmer Buckeyes will travel to Carthage to meet the Bulldogs for a potential rankings shakeup.  Good luck to both teams!  High school football in East Texas is awesome.

Other area teams ranked in their respective divisions include Longview (#7), Kilgore (#5), Tyler Chapel Hill (#7), Gladewater (#5), Waksom (#7), West Rusk (#8), and Tenaha (#6).
