Your Guide To Fall Fun: East Texas 2024 Fall Fair And Festival Guide
East Texans are looking forward to the changing of the seasons: Fall color, cooler temperatures, and doing outdoor activities with friends and family and it not feeling like 103 degrees.
We'll also be cheering out our favorite high school, college, and pro football teams. We'll be heading out to treat ourselves to our favorite fair foods. We'll get our adrenaline rush from all the festival rides. We'll be celebrating nearly anything and everything this Fall in East Texas.
Fun activities and events seem to be on the calendar for nearly every weekend from now up to Thanksgiving! When it comes to festival event information, we've got you covered. Gregg County Fair - Longview
Friday, September 6th - Saturday, September 14th
Gregg County Fairgrounds
This fair got its start in 1949 by the Longview Jaycees. The Gregg County Fair also hosts the annual Miss Gregg County pageant which will feature pig races, a petting zoo, live entertainment nightly, and lots of family entertainment.
Pittsburg Pioneer Days - Pittsburg
Saturday, September 14th - Saturday, September 21st
The Little Miss Peach Queen Ball kicks off the event on the 14th with the carnival beginning Friday with more activities squeezed in between and will conclude on the 21st with the parade that morning and more activities fun and games for the whole family.
Texas State Forest Festival - Lufkin

George Henderson Exposition Center
Competitions are abundant at the Texas State Forest Festival along with the carnival rides and live shows featuring the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, Off Axis Stunt Show, Scott's World Of Magic, cars show, bbq competition, and many other competitions, plus there's a 5k run, wood carving display, and so much more.
Gladewater Arts & Crafts Festival 2024 - Gladewater

The East Texas State Fair has a new location this year - The Park at East Texas is the new home of the East Texas Fair. Located at 11315 Hwy. 64 W, outside of Loop 323 in Tyler. This year's fair is packed with rides, food, vendors, and live entertainment. Pig races, petting zoo, freestyle motocross show, glass blowing, concerts featuring Cody Canada and the Departed, Josh Ward, 80s Mix Tape, and more! Don't miss out on all of your favorite midway rides and food too.
Titus County Fair - Mt. Pleasant

This fair features a livestock show, numerous contests, commercial exhibits, youth academic contests, carnival rides, food and musical entertainment.
Piney Woods Fair - Nacogdoches

Nacogdoches County Exposition & Civic Center - Nacogdoches
The Pineywoods Fair wraps up fair season in East Texas with an agricultural and livestock show featuring competitions highlighting swine, goats, lambs, rabbits, heifer and more. There are educational exhibits and competitions topped off with carnival rides and lots of fair food. It's your last opportunity of the season to get all that fried goodness!
Fire Ant Festival - Marshall

Celebrate the harvest season at CountryFest in Lindale. There will be arts and crafts booths, children's activities, live performances and music, car-truck-Jeep show, auction, a petting zoo, carnival games, art projects, and more.

Edom has been celebrating the arts for more than 50 years now and the Edom Arts Festival gives artists the opportunity to share their talent. It's a two-day event that showcases art, food, and music.
East Texas Yamboree - Gilmer

The festivities begin on Wednesday, October 16th with the Queen's Coronation at 7:30. There are many competitions during the Yamboree, including a quilt show, livestock show, and more. The carnival will be in downtown Gilmer and open Wednesday through Saturday with rides, games, food, and street dances each night.

Tyler is known as the rose capital, so why not have a festival to celebrate and honor this distinction? The Texas Rose Festival features the queen's coronation, Rose Parade, arts, and crafts and quilting fair, and many other socialite activities.

Enjoy a fun-filled day. The event kicks off at 8:30 AM with the 11th Annual Harvest Hustle 5K and Kids 1K Race, with CountryFest festivities to follow. All kids' activities are free. Enjoy the Kiwanis live & silent auction, car show, local food vendors, and lots of shopping.
Hog Festival - Ben Wheeler

Definitely one of the most unique festivals in the state as Ben Wheeler celebrates the hog. Originally known as the Feral Hog Festival, it was changed to Hogfest, then to Hogtoberfest and now back to Hog Festival! Whatever they call it, it's definitely unique and East Texas. This festival will feature a hog parade, a pageant, a parade, a hog cook-off and many other unique contests and events. This year's theme is 'Jurassic Pork'!
