Hearing about dogs living in these types of conditions is heartbreaking, especially knowing that it’s going on here in East Texas. We first got the details from KETK, about 60 dogs who have been rescued over the past few months.

What started out as a people wanting to do good things for animals quickly got overwhelming and out of hand. The Animal Rescue Corps shared online about a rescue facility that opened last year but due to medical issues and unemployment the founders of the facility were not able to care for the animals they just took in.

Animal Rescue Corps Has Been Helping

For the past several months, the Animal Rescue Corps helped by sending food, air conditioning, and other resources to care for the animals. In May they rescued the first two dogs from the facility. There were 19 that were removed last month, and on July 18th the final 39 dogs were rescued.

This Story Keeps Gaining Momentum

After hearing about these dogs there was a couple (Mike & Eva Quearry) who offered a $10,000 matching challenge because these dogs were in such desperate need of care. And I’m happy to report that the match has been met, but this organization is always looking for more donations to help more animals.
