Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott Agree on New Contract
Dallas Cowboys fans can now breath a sigh of relief. News is coming from ESPN that the Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott have agreed on a six year, $90 million contract extension. This deal will make him the highest paid running back in the league.
Zeke still has two years remaining on his current contract. He'll earn $3.853 million this season and $9.09 million on the fifth-year option next season. But the good news is we have the best running back in the league through 2026.
That leaves quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper left to sign to complete what can be the next Cowboys triplets. This also propels the Cowboys into instant Superbowl contenders (I can hear the growns now).
What could be the ultimate surprise from the Cowboys this season is their defense. They have drafted smart and have a great defensive group at every position.
Another exciting, and hopefully not disappointing, season is ahead for Cowboys fans everywhere.
