Looking to Laugh in Tyler, Texas There is One Place to Visit

After spending all week working away, one of my favorite things to do is check out a comedy show. Laughing always makes the day better and can help relieve stress. It was just earlier this year that I found out about a small comedy show in Tyler that took place near downtown and I thought it would be awesome if Tyler had more comedy shows. And just recently that wish came true as a new comedy and event club opened it’s doors in Tyler, Texas.

The new comedy club is called The Understudy and it’s located at 212 Old Grande Blvd., Suite C-102. As they are just getting started I wanted to tell you about some things I found on their website. They are not selling alcohol and are NOT BYOB, although they are working to get set up for BYOB. The Understudy does sell some beverages and snacks for $2 each. There is currently no dress code but ask people to be respectful of others who might be enjoying a night out.

Can You Start a Comedy Career at The Understudy?

If you’re willing to put in the time and effort there are people willing to help you get better. There are Improv, stand up, and sketch comedy classes that are offered. There is also a public speaking class if that is something you want to improve.
