Carrie Underwood Taking Over Singing ‘Sunday Night Football’ Theme From Fellow Country Star Faith Hill [VIDEO]

NBC announced yesterday (5/7) that country singer Carrie Underwood would take over singing the opening theme for "Sunday Night Football" from fellow country star Faith Hill.

The new season kicks off in September. Faith Hill had been singing the theme for the telecast since 2007.

This story reminds me of Faith Hill reaction - caught on live television - when Carrie Underwood beat her out for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2006 CMA awards.
