Are These Gender-Neutral Baby Clothes Promoting a ‘New World Order?’
French-Canadian Singing Diva, Celine Dion, partnered with kids' clothing company Nununu to launch her own line of gender-neutral clothing, called Celinununu.
Although she launched the line a couple of years ago. But it has recently been cycling through our social media feeds and some people are not too happy--even aghast--at the idea of gender-neutral clothing, in general.
Another point of contention is in regard to some of the references she makes to how we should see children--which is, not as our own entirely, but rather as links in a never-ending chain of life. (I'm paraphrasing a bit.)
Her voice over in the ad states that adults "miss the past. [Our children] dream of tomorrow.” She goes on to say “we may thrust them forward into the future, but the course will always be theirs to choose.”
And that is why she she said she felt compelled to launch this line. She wants to give kids the opportunity to choose who they will become as men and women without the preconceived boxes in which society may seek to place them.
Another concern for many? Why is she selling baby duds that have 'New World Order' printed on them? Is there another agenda going on here?
You can watch one of the promotional videos below.
As you might have deduced, critics have voiced opposition from the the more common concerns that this may create confusion for boys and girls, all the way to the more extreme thoughts that perhaps she is seeking to spread a "Luciferian agenda." I'll let you google more on that if you are so interested.
If you are a reader of Snopes.com, you may or may not find it comforting to hear their opinion, that despite some voices claiming that with this line Dion is clearing delving into an occult agenda, she is not. Here's that video if you wanna watch:
So, let us know your thoughts? Does the idea of a gender-neutral line of clothes for kids concern you or do you think it's a good idea?
