AC/DC tore it up at Wrigley Field last week – literally. Management of the Cubs baseball team has lodged a complaint about field conditions following their Sept. 15 concert in Chicago.

Divots in the infield have apparently led to a series of obvious errors during the game, according to Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon. “Since the AC/DC concert, we’ve had a little bit of trouble,” Maddon tells the Chicago Tribune. "I don’t know if they were out there taking ground balls before the game or if they had nine-inch heels or spikes."

These new issues follow as many as 20 official grievances from Wrigley Field neighbors over noise levels during the concert, even though the show, which included pyrotechnics, was reportedly over by 10PM, well before the facility's 11PM curfew.

The Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-5 at Wrigley yesterday, but not before second baseman Starlin Castro had a ball-handling mishap that Maddon blamed on the mangled turf. “They totally messed up the infield," he said, referring to AC/DC. "I don’t want anyone blaming him on that error. It was a weird hop.”

One Chicago-based columnist worries that concerts like this one could derail the baseball club's postseason dreams. "Hopefully, it doesn't hurt them," Paul Sullivan wrote today. "But if it does, I can see the headline now: AC/DC Kills Cubs' Hopes."

Meanwhile, AC/DC are headed for a show tonight in Vancouver, the city where they recorded 2014's Rock or Bust. Thankfully, there shouldn't be any lawn concerns at BC Place, which installed a new $1.3-million artificial playing surface earlier this year.
