2019 Tyler Cattle Barons’ Gala Raises Money for Charitable Cause
The 32nd annual Tyler Cattle Barons' Gala, the largest local fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in Tyler, took place Saturday evening at the Texas Rose Horse Park.
The event raises money for the American Cancer Society and its effort to support cancer research. The theme for this year's event was "Triple Crown: On Track for a Cure."
The evening consisted of delicious food, musical entertainment, gaming tables, live and silent auctions. This year's headliner was 90's country hitmaker, Mark Chesnutt.
Last year's event raised nearly $500,000 and to date, the event has raised over $15 million dollars to support local and national cancer support services. The first Tyler Cattle Barons' Gala was held in 1988.
Attendees dressed up in their best country attire- boots, jeans, sundresses, and cowboy hats filled the arena. People participated in live and silent auctions. One lucky winner went home with a 2019 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT Cattle Barons Edition.
Auctions were held for items such as:
- Alaskan fishing vacation
- Napa Valley wine tour
- Trip to Disney World
- Las Vegas trip
It was a fun-filled night for all who attended.
