Stone Temple Pilots released a statement saying they have "officially terminated" founding member and lead singer Scott Weiland.The band is currently looking for a replacement.

More drama surrounding Scott Weiland.  A few weeks ago he was quoted as saying he'd be into a Velvet Revolver reunion, which seemed a bit peculiar since he had just got off the road with STP, but it all starts to make sense when you hear what Slash said in an interview over the weekend when asked about a possible reunion.

When it comes to love, Scott Weiland is counting on the old adage that the third time’s a charm. The Stone Temple Pilots singer recently announced that he’s now engaged to girlfriend Jamie Wachtel. The couple have been dating for about a year, and the upcoming nuptials will mark Weiland’s third marriage.

Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo recently paid a surprise visit to a New Jersey radio station, revealing that contrary to popular belief, the band is not currently working on the follow-up to STP’s 2010 self-titled comeback album.

The previously unreleased video for Stone Temple Pilots‘ song ‘Cinnamon’ has found its way online. There was an original version filmed in summer 2010, but the band wasn’t feeling the result so the video was scrapped and it was reshot in late 2010 with new director. The song was the third single off 2010′s self-titled affair.

Stone Temple Pilots released their debut album, Core, 20 years ago. Now they've announced they're not allowing the anniversary to pass unmarked. They've posted a statement on their website saying they will celebrate the milestone with a special tour.
