Oprah helped produce the movie Selma six years ago, and the theme is timeless. It might be a good way to honor the Rev. Dr. King today, on the holiday that marks his legacy.
The Seattle Times points out that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has now been dead longer than he lived. That's amazing to me, and the fact that his legacy has lived longer, proves just how special he was.
Today is Martin Luther King day. It is a day to celebrate the man who helped change society with his civil rights movements and his push for equality. Without his hard work and perseverance, where would our world be now?
