Say it isn't so?!?!  At this point, 41 Steve Miller tour stops have been booked in 2017, beginning in late March & concluding in mid-August, but none of those concert dates are here in the Lone Star State.

As you probably know, Steve Miller grew up in East Dallas.  His family moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin when he was 7, & he lived in the Metroplex until graduating from Lakewood's Woodrow Wilson High School.

That's why it's such a surprise to see nothing in Texas on the Steve Miller itinerary, either during his smaller Spring solo schedule or throughout the more extensive Summer run where he'll co-headline with Peter Frampton.  Last year the Steve Miller Band did 63 shows, so there's still a possibility more tour dates will be added in late Summer & FallRight now though, if you want to see Steve Miller on stage, you'll need to take a road trip on July 29th, driving 175 miles to the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma (not too far north of the Texas state line on I-35).

Here's a very unique live performance of "Fly Like An Eagle", captured during a Steve Miller Band appearance on "The Midnight Special" tv show in 1974.  It's definitely worth a look.
