Big Name Concerts Just Keep On Comin’, We Love It!

Some new shows featuring big name classic rockers have confirmed tour stops near East Texas since we first published our concert calendar last month.  Former Van Halen front man & solo star Sammy Hagar will take the new Irving Music Center stage in September, while Lynyrd Skynyrd is now set to perform at a different Dallas-area venue on May 20th.  

Here’s the updated rundown by event date:


May:
5th-  John Kay & Steppenwolf.  Fort Worth Billy Bob’s Texas.
11th-  Alice Cooper.  Shreveport Auditorium.
19th-  The Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, with Martha Davis & The Motels, & The B-52s.  Richardson Galatyn Park.
20th-  ZZ Top.  Belton Bell County Expo Center.
20th-  The Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, with Lynyrd Skynyrd, & Night Ranger.  Richardson Galatyn Park.
21st-  The Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, with The Outlaws, & Orleans.  Richardson Galatyn Park.
26th-  U2.  Arlington AT&T Stadium.
27th-  Dennie DeYoung.  Bossier City Margaritaville Casino.

June:
10th-  Jimmy Buffett, with ZZ Top.  Frisco Toyota Stadium. 
16th-  Doobie Brothers & Chicago (co-headliners).  Dallas Starplex Amphitheatre.
16th-  Metallica.  Arlington AT&T Stadium. 
21st-  John Mellencamp.  Grand Prairie Verizon Theater. 
23rd-  Iron Maiden.  Dallas American Airlines Center.
30th-  Boston, with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.  Dallas Starplex Amphitheatre.


July:
3rd-  Roger Waters.  Dallas American Airlines Center.
8th-  Ted NugentFort Worth Billy Bob’s Texas.
11th-  Hall & Oates, with Tears For Fears.  Dallas American Airlines Center.
18th-  Neil Diamond.  Dallas American Airlines Center.
22nd-  Don Henley.  Dallas American Airlines Center.

August:
4th-  Queen, with Adam Lambert.  Dallas American Airlines Center.
11th-  Rod Stewart, with Cyndi Lauper.  Dallas Grand Prairie Verizon Theater.
18th-  Foreigner & Cheap Trick (co-headliners), with Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin ExperienceDallas Starplex Amphitheatre.
19th-  Deep Purple & Alice Cooper (co-headliners).  Dallas Starplex Amphitheatre.
24th-  Lost 80s Live, with Berlin, Naked Eyes, Wang Chung, Cutting Crew, Tommy Tutone, Spandau Ballet, & Information Society.  Grand Prairie Verizon Theater.
25th-  Kansas Shreveport Auditorium.


September:
14th- Sammy Hagar, with Collective Soul.  Irving Music Factory Pavilion.
19th- Steve Winwood.  Irving Music Factory Pavilion.
22nd-  Depeche Mode.  Dallas Starplex Amphitheatre.
27th-  KISS.  Irving Music Factory Pavilion.
29th-  Smokey Robinson.  Dallas Starplex Amphitheatre.


October:

12th-  Scorpions & Megadeth.  Irving Music Factory Pavilion.
