Chili Peppers Write Song For Friend Who Passed Away [VIDEO]

YES — Red Hot Chili Peppers new album, I’m With You, is due out August 30th! AnthonyKiedis.net is has it out that the band wrote a song about a friend who passed away. More after the jump.

The track is titled “Brendan’s Death Song” and is about writer from Britain Brendan Mullen.  Apparently Mr. Mullen was writing a biography about my favorite “Chili Peppers” just before he died.

96X is playing the first song to be released off the new album, titled The Adventures of Raindance Maggie. Check out this video I found from someone who was at the video shoot. It’s pretty cool behind the scenes video of the filming process!
